COVID-19 Update

Effective august 12, 2021

The City of Stamford has reimposed the MASK MANDATE for all indoor public spaces in Stamford regardless of vaccination status in effect until further notice.

Updated Confession Schedule

Now that we can resume use of the Confessional, we are adding more opportunities for Confession. Due to the shortage of priests, it may not be possible to resume the extensive schedule that existed before the pandemic. Most parishes are losing a priest as the Bishop needs to find pastors to replace priests who are retiring. Beginning Monday, May 24th the following confession schedule will begin:

Monday: 11:30 to 12 Noon

Wednesday: 11:30 to 12 Noon

Friday: 11:30 to 12 Noon

Saturday 2:45 to 3:45. (The priest who has confessions may also have the 4 PM Mass)

Some may be disappointed that daily confessions have not been restored. Please keep in mind that the parish schedule needs to reflect the number of priests serving in that parish. There is a serious priest shortage which has an effect on every parish. Finally, it is good to note that this schedule is far and above what is offered in most other parishes where confessions are one hour a week.
